Buying your next home with Matthijs ONLINE event

Join this online event and get more understanding on how to buy your next property in the Netherlands

Starting 17.30 Online

What can you expect from the Expat Mortgages Webinar: Buying your next home?

Our digital doors open at 17:25, and we start at 17:30. We begin with a short presentation on what changes when you already own a home in the Netherlands. We cover how to time the sale of your current home and the purchase of your next one, how to use the equity in your current home, and what to consider with your existing mortgage, such as your current interest rate and any early repayment costs. We also look at your mortgage options for the next home and share a few simple formulas to estimate your maximum borrowing capacity and monthly costs.

We also explain how buying agents, independent notaries and tax advisors can support you when you are buying and selling at the same time.

After a 30-40 minute presentation, we answer your individual questions live. The webinar ends around 18:30. If you still have questions afterwards, you can schedule a follow-up meeting with us.

Location: Online via Zoom

Speaker
Matthijs van der Heijden
Matthijs is from a very small village in the middle of The Netherlands. After completing middle school, he moved to Leiden for studies. Here, he did a Bachelor International Relations and Organisations and a minor in International and Intercultural Management at Leiden University, and after that a masters in Business Administration at the University of Amsterdam. It was during the purchase of his first home in Leiden that he got in touch with mortgage mediation. He then realized what an involved mortgage consultant could mean for their clients. Following the attainment of his master’s degree, Matthijs delved into a finance career, spending three years in mortgage mediation before joining Expat Mortgages to merge financial expertise with an international orientation.
