Once we decided to buy a place in Amsterdam, we soon realized this is a hell of a task if you are foreign and in need of a mortgage, even from the EU! Once we disclosed our expat status, other mortgage consultants just didn’t bother to respond, yet we were so lucky to find expat mortgages.
